Being the very best version of yourself.

In business coaching everything comes back to you being the very best version of yourself. If this doesn’t happen, everything else turns to mud. Being the very best version of yourself requires a daily investment of focussed time and energy. It also requires that you catch any bugs and bees that might get caught in your life so that you can turn up at work in a good and inspired state of mind and body. There are three essential components of getting the best out of yourself at work.

  1. Balanced
  2. Centred
  3. Calm

Balanced

In order to be balanced we are going to use nature as a guide and treat ourselves holistically. The big flaw in most self leadership process is treating yourself like a firefighter putting out fires in your life and therefore never really feeling like you have a solid foundation for life. This model is ingrained in our minds so deeply that we’re continually berating ourselves, self critical and rarely satisfied. For Balance we must change all that.

The VIP wheel demonstrates that there are actually seven aspects of life. Most people balance one against the other. Using life to balance work. This leads to massive personal disruption and corruption.

Instead I’ll show you, using nature as a guide (so it’s not complex) how to be balances in each of the seven areas of life so you don’t play one off against the other. You’ll fix problems in each area rather than use one area to fix problems in another. You deserve happiness and contentment in each of those areas … then, you’ll go to work with a clear head, and a good heart.

Centred.

Excess and deficiency are two sides of a centre and both cause all our mental, emotional and physical distraction and, if we let it, destruction. In every day life we have mastery over our perceptions, how we see things and in order to be focussed and happy at work we need to take control of those perceptions. I’ll teach you the DISCARD PROCESS and the EMOTIONAL SHOWER … fast, no fuss methods of resolving uncertainty, eliminating negative states of mind, resolving conflicts, both internal and external. This process offers you a new and more profound way of looking at life so you put yourself in the driver’s seat of your perceptions and control your centring. Applying this process provides you with a leading edge methodology to advance yourself through challenges, and a way to keep your emotions right where you need them for high achievement. Ultimately being centred, you create significant changes in your attitude to, and actions in, life.

Calm = Coherence

The “sense of coherence” is a nature based formulation that provides a central explanation for the role of stress in human functioning. “Beyond the specific stress factors that one might encounter in life, and beyond your perception and response to those events, what determines whether stress will cause you harm is whether or not the stress violates your sense of coherence.” Ie Rattles your CALM.

For calm, coherence, I create a portable meditation a mobile travelling awareness (wisdom) that is with you, 24/7. This is called Nature’s Universal Laws….

Calm (A Sense of Coherence) means: a global view in which you have a pervasive, enduring, dynamic feeling of confidence that (1) the stimuli deriving from one’s internal and external environments in the course of living are structured, predictable and explicable; (2) the resources are available to one to meet the demands posed by these stimuli; and (3) these demands are challenges, worthy of investment and engagement.

Coherence is the key to staying cool and calm in life and work,

So, using Nature’s Universal Laws … you’ll create…

  • Comprehensibility: a belief that things happen in an orderly and predictable fashion and a sense that you can understand events in your life and reasonably predict what will happen in the future.
  • Manageability: a belief that you have the skills or ability, the support, the help, or the resources necessary to take care of things, and that things are manageable and within your control.
  • Meaningfulness: a belief that things in life are interesting and a source of satisfaction, that things are really worthwhile and that there is good reason or purpose to care about what happens.

The third element is the most important. If a person believes there is no reason to persist and survive and confront challenges, if they have no sense of meaning, then they will have no motivation to comprehend and manage events. This is why the “Vision of the Future” is an essential element of your business coaching because your life, balance, centred and calm, depends on experiencing a strong “sense of meaningfulness.” Research has demonstrated that the sense of coherence predicts positive health outcomes.
