MIND

G’day and welcome. Today we are working on the power hour, the mind IP and a well to put this in context, remembering that we’re going around a loop, which is called the power hour, we’re doing what’s called daily evolution and mind IP, you might say to yourself, well, what do we really mean by that?
And why would we address this? Well, it goes like this. When you work on the high priorities, you build yourself worth.
When you work on low priorities, you lower yourself worth. Do you know what your priorities are? Well, somebody might tell you your priorities, your partner, your boss, your colleagues, your kids they pull at you and remembering that there’s seven areas of life.
And you might get confused as to really what are your priorities? What’s my priorities. And I think knowing yourself, when someone says, who are you, you must be able to say, I am my priorities.
I am another word for priorities. I am my values. Now there are extrinsic values, which are the seven areas of life that we value all of them.
And they’re all important. Family, health, financial, they’re all important. And we can put those also in a list of priorities saying, I believe that if I focus on this, that will help me build the second one, the third one fourth, one fifth one.
And if you look at your life and look around what you’re doing and look at the walls of every office and look at the walls of your home and things like that, you will get a really clear set of extrinsic values.
And we’re going to do an exercise to help you explore that the 13 questions. We’re also going to do an exercise to help you break down these values into particular areas of your life.
Let’s have a look. Now we’ll go through each page one by one. If I can work out how to change the page on this particular app.
So let’s try. Here we go. Let’s look at your extrinsic values, your financial career, health relationship, mental, spiritual, and social.
What we’re asking you to do is write down what you would love to or what you’ve got to have, what you should have, what you need to have, what you want to have, what you desire to have, choose to have, and love to have in each of the seven areas of life.
This, this creates a really clear set of hierarchy. Got two is the most important love. Two is the aspiration in your life.
So see if you can fill that form in without much system. It’s pretty simple. What have you got to have financially?
You have to have got to have $50 a week or whatever it is for you to pay the rent or $2,000 a month in order to pay all your bills.
What’s the God to in your life that if you don’t get it, you’re in deep, a deep Pooh. What should you have?
Well, you probably need should have that much money that you need to pay all your bills. Plus 10, 20% more for your savings show.
You should be out. What do you need to have? Well, you need to have your gutters. You should, and you need to have a bit more for a little bit of elbow room.
You know, something to play with. What do you want to have now? That’s the next question that raises you up into a great space.
What do you want to have? Do you want to just have the basics or do you want to have double that per month?
What would you desire to have? Now this is getting into the realms of the spooky part, which is going to let go reality and push myself into a zone, which well, might be a little bit, fantasy might be a little bit of my imagining choose to have, which is if I, if I couldn’t fail and I could choose it, what would I choose to have?
And finally, what would I love to have as a remuneration or as my financial goal in my life. So you might love to have $20 million or 10 million.
Write that number in there and just say, this is, these are my financial, got twos to love twos, do the same with your health, do the same with your relationship, et cetera.
Your intrinsic values are things that are more about how you feel and what I want you to do on this sheet.
You’ve got to be, you’ve got to financial, got to be for example, secure or got to be safe, or you’ve got to be happy or whatever you write in this intrinsic values list.
Just make sure you can use the word be. And then the word after it career, you might want to be comfortable.
Be good at it. Be adventurous. What should you be good? What need, what do you need to be challenged? What do you want to be superior or a boss?
What do you desire to be in control? What do you choose to be? And start to rise yourself up through, into the highest level of your work life as an extra in intrinsic value, you would love to be happy, Link it or sink it.
Now, this is a really important sheet of paper, and I’d probably have to go over this with you in a one-on-one session.
But basically what it’s saying is if I had to choose let’s let’s assume that financial financial career career, let’s assume there’s a diagonal line running through the middle of this form, and we’re only operating in the bottom, but let me just give you an example.
If I went down financial career, which one would I choose? Would I choose financial remuneration over a good career? If I went down financial to health and I say, what would I choose?
Would I choose my health over my finances? Or would I say I’d rather be wealthy and a bit sick. If I went down financial to relationship, which one would choose money or love relationship.
If I went down financial, will I like to be wealthy? Or would I like to be mentally sharp and mentally well, spiritual and social.
So you go down this list and wherever there’s a, let’s say go to the second one. Now career, you skipped financial and career.
You go career and health career and relationships, career and mental curious, spiritual, et cetera. You go to the next one health.
You go all the way down to relationship health, relationship, health, mental health, spiritual health, social go to the next one.
Relationship, relationship, mental relationships, spiritual relationships, social go mental, skip down mental versus spiritual, mental versus social spiritual. You go all the way down this column to spiritual, to social and social gets a no vote.
So if you go through those and add them all up, add the, add the number of times you chose, for example, financial through the whole sheet and add up the number of times you choose career.
You’re going to get some rough idea as you’re remembering why Linkerd or sink it, your what would call intrinsic values hierarchy?
It’s a great fun exercise. Have a go remembering why, because I want this. I’m going to do that. And this is really fun because I want, let’s say something you already wrote in your list of what you want.
I’m going to do this with it because I want to be in love. I’m going to do this with discipline.
I’m going to go out on dates or I’m going to be generous and kind I’m going to be in gratitude into my home because I want financial, a great financial income in my job.
I’m going to do this with discipline and write down what you’re going to do with discipline in order to sustain that I want, these are really important exercises because when the why is big enough to how it takes care of themselves.
So, because I want, this is asking you why. So I think we can finish up here. This is positive self-talk and we’ll cover that in another session.
This is Chris. Have a beautiful day. Bye for now.
