OCTOBER FEST – Episode 2# – Rules of the Game

TRANSCRIPT

Well, good morning, good afternoon, wherever you are. This is Chris, and today we’re talking about rules of the game. You know, there are, there is a big game and there is a small game. There’s a game within a game and most people are playing the game within a game. The game within a game is where emotions, morals, ethics, your beliefs, ideas, thoughts, everything is real. The bigger game, the rules of the bigger game are whether you like it or not, or whether it fits with your moral expectations or your hopes or dreams.

There is another set of rules that are applying that can make everything that happens around you. Understandable. Now, if you were in a, an ocean and the ocean was going crazy, up and down there could be about five kilometers away, a smooth patch. But when you’re in that ocean, you are playing by the rules of the little game. You are small, the ocean speak. You are trying to survive, you’re trying to take the next breath. You’re trying to get yourself to a place where you can get safe, but you may have no idea where safety is. So when we play by the rules of the little game, we think our emotions are real.

We think our viewpoint through our eyes is the only viewpoint that comes. We get very, I think you could call it righteous, and we start to protect ourselves, defend ourselves. That’s a lot of energy wasted. And if you are in a storm out in a sea and you’re struggling, the last thing on earth you want to do is waste energy. So if you take all this and say, Well, how do I waste less energy? Energy and get more done? The answer might be to play by the rules of the bigger game as well as the smaller game.

Now, we know that most people’s lives, mental health, their stress, their emotions, their need for therapy, their psychology, their, all of the things that they’re doing, their their worries, their anxieties, their doubts are all built out of the little mind, this little thing inside of here. But their rules, the rules of the little mind are so small, they’re so fragile, and yet there’s rules of the bigger game that are permanent, that have stood the test of time since the beginning of time. And if you can understand the rules of the bigger game and apply them a little more, let’s say, in priority over the rules of the little game, you get self-control, you get self leadership.

And I think that’s a great thing because self leadership means you don’t waste as much energy and you don’t waste as Much time. So the next podcast and this month’s series are talking about the rules of the game, the rules of the big game.

In November, we’ll talk about the rules of the little game, but I’m sure you’ll get the gist as we go through it. Have a beautiful day by, for now.
