DAY 21. OVERWHELM – A LEADERS NIGHTMARE

BEYOND THE OVERWHELM

HOW DO I STAY BALANCED, CENTRED AND CALM TO PREVENT OVERWHELM?

OVERWHELM THE DEVIL’S PLAYGROUND – A PLACE NO LEADER CAN GO. AND IF THEY DO, THEY WILL NEVER COME BACK.

BALANCED

Oh, you poor baby, got too much to do, and not enough time? Oh, poor thing you. Does this help? But that’s why we complain to others, especially a spouse or another poor soul in your business. Feeling sorry for ourselves. So much to do, and not enough time … boo hoo, here’s a tissue. So, it’s not easy to tell you to stop moaning because someone in your life enables it. Someone feels sorry for you. Someone will, if you ask enough people, agree that it’s unfair. Even give the person who gives you too much a hard time. Bad boss, bad boss, go sit in the corner. Of course, you don’t get that sympathy, empathy, or fake compassion here. I simply say “EVOLVE-YA-BASTARD” and that includes you too, women readers. EVolve-ya-bastard means the only reason you are feeling overwhelmed is you have arrived, grown to, your own level of incompetence. It’s the fodder for a great comedy show. “hey promote me, i can’t even cope with what I’m doing” or “hey pay me more because that’ll make being overwhelmed more fun.” NOT…..

CENTRED

In all forms of leadership people who follow you want to be like you, have what you have, do what you do and do it like you do it. If not, you can only dictate to people what you want as a leader and they do it with no intrinsic engagement. That’s like slavery and will only attract GOT TO or SHOULD DO people.

CALM

Calm, to hell with calm, im calm, can’t you see how bloody calm i am? Im so calm you could build a house on my shoulders. …. Maybe…
