Staying balanced means:

  • Doing the right thing.
  • Preventing doing the wrong thing.
  • Creating good things.
  • Being healthy and happy enough to enjoy the journey.

Christopher Walker

A balanced person is balanced in all seven areas of life. In this program we help individuals address the symptoms, cause and solution to imbalance in any aspect of life. We help individuals address chronic imbalance as well as immediate and short term triggers such as emotional and physical illness.

The Balance program has seven elements: They are…

HOW TO: Let Go the Past

Nothing affects the family more than the unloved life of the parent. Regret, sadness, guilt and anger disrupt a life more than any single source and so a balanced person needs to learn how to let go. Whether it’s in a coffee shop where food didn’t arrive on time or in life where a colleague wasn’t honest, or a life partner or family member disappointed us, we need to learn to let go so that we can live balanced in the present. This is an important part of the balance program.

HOW TO: Create Perfect Cellular Health

Balanced living is neither excess or deficiency.  Neither overeating nor under eating. Never too much, never too little.  The result of balanced living is obvious.  Our body is always in a state of flux, evolving, adapting, growing, ageing, healing and responding to demand. How do we remain steady when the vehicle we occupy is in such flux? This is an important awareness that we focus on in the Balance program. Cellular health looks at wellbeing from a micro level and frees us up on the macro level to get more enjoyment from what we do and eat.

HOW TO: Use the Environment To Support Success

A person needs to be in the right environment to create success. An environment that is out of balance, in any way, will create an imbalanced person. If the environment is corrupt, the individual will be corrupted, if the environment is toxic, the individual will become toxic. If the environment prioritises self interest over right action, then there will be an imbalance that creates troubles. We cannot become our best if our environment isn’t right. There are two things we can do to fix our environment to be balanced. One is our perception of people, places and things to see order where otherwise it might appear like chaos. This is a perception and mindset shift, and a very important skill. The second is physical, relying on improving the sensory environment, such as what we see, hear, feel, taste and smell. Of these, sight is key and nature is one such environmental trigger we harness for balance.

HOW TO: Stay Engaged and Get Over Speed Bumps..- Values Alignment

Authenticity means we put our heart into what we do. When our values are out of align with what we do, we become half hearted. In the balance program we clearly define individual intrinsic and extrinsic values to create alignment between action, process and outcome. When buying a house recently my friend asked me to share a meeting with the real estate salesman. He explained only the positives, no negatives of the deal, he shared market news that was only good no bad, to try to infatuate my friend into buying the house, (old style selling techniques) he was just dishonest and disrespectful to himself and my friend in this perspective. Now there was a lot of money at stake, and he knew it, so it took allot of integrity when I challenged him to put his true self, heart and soul into this conversation. To speak like the sale was not as important as his integrity. We refer to this as values alignment – your true I.P, Brand.

HOW TO: Use Your Vision, Inspiration, Purpose for Leadership

As there are seven areas of life a balanced person will have seven visions, seven areas of inspiration (passion) and one single sense of a purpose greater than themselves. Vision is the key to mental, emotional and physical health, few things are more important, this topic alone can bring a beautiful balance to life even when striving for singular success on any stage.

Taking a snippet from the yoga sutra,

When you are inspired by some greater purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds, your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.

HOW TO; Evolve Yourself through Self Talk

A balanced person will be always present, focussed.  Whatever the situation, the attentive attitude will not be lost.  Unconditionally, their attention will stay focused on whatever they are doing. They are not thinking of answers while listening, they are lisening. While walking they are conscentrating on walking, the environment. If they walk into a room and then out in 10 seconds they can name 50 objects.  A person who is at the center is always in the moment, present, magnetic.  Even if the death of a loved one comes, they will not react.  They will receive death as they receive birth. If misery comes they will receive it as they receive joy.  Whatever happens it cannot dislodge this person from their center.  This powerful presence is an attitude, it is a consequence of being balanced.

A Balanced Person is Balanced in All Seven Areas of Life

Balance Program

The Balance Program is both a preventative and a maintenance program. It can be in the form of a 2-day workshop for corporate teams or private coaching or an intensive 30-day programme.

The unique feature of the Balance Program is that you not only get balanced in a sustainable healthy way but you learn a process for catching imbalance early for the future.. it means you can regulate your life balance and not be caught with your pants down in the future.

What do you think? Does it resonate with you? Do you know anyone who you think might benefit from this?

I believe that people block transitions, get off track, lose their sense of purpose, feel unfulfilled or depressed because their life is somehow out of flow between the past and the future.

There are seven key steps to healthy transition management. We call this the BACK ON TRACK steps and in this program you and your team learn the skills of applying these steps to any situation requiring radical and immediate transition:

  • Discard: Emotional Clearing and Balancing (clear up emotional disturbances)
  • Cellular: Physical Health and wellness – (changing the body metrix)
  • Environment: Change Appearances – (Upgrade environment to reflect new perspectives)
  • Mind IP: Reconfirm Mind Values (Where to focus ongoing self development)
  • Vision: New Vision and Purpose (Create new incentives, direction and clarity for the future)
  • Psyche: Personal Presence (shake off the old self talk bring in the new)
  • Results: Action – (Embed new daily action, process for being back on track)

Follow the check list below. if you score a total of less than 35 you are definitely in transition and would be wise to integrate the BACK ON TRACK PROCESS. A score of 60 or more also signifies transition stagnation and would be wise to implement change ASAP.

If I asked you to score yourself on a 1 – 10 against each of the 7 elements (where 10 is blissfully happy and content and 1 is suicidally depressed) how would this look?

So your ‘VIP’ score would be the total of the seven scores. What is it? Interesting. Are you happy with that?

The normal reaction for people in a funk (low scores below 5 in any area of life) is to focus solely on one or two of these areas of life. For example, if you are down in career, you might turn to a coach. Down in health, you might end up at a gym or personal trainer. Mentally down you might start meditating, and so on.

The problem with this is that as one aspect grows, another shrinks. You’re unfulfilled at work so you decide to drive harder but as a result, your family and love-life suffers. Or if your finances are struggling you might start worrying about money and ignore your health. Your overall score of [VIP score] doesn’t change, it simply changes shape. Old problems may go away, new ones appear.

Have you seen this happen to anyone you know?

Back on track has two basic goals;

  • Firstly, to achieve balance across all the elements and
  • Second, to increase your overall ‘VIP’ score

I apply my approach to teams and for individuals in change management

Depression, divorce, financial breakdown, emotional trauma, mental health problems and illness are all long term consequences of being off track for too long.

Back on Track™ is both a preventative and a maintenance program. It can be in the form of a 2-day workshop for corporate teams or private coaching or an intensive 30-day programme, ……………..

The unique feature of Back on track is that you not only get back on track in a sustainable healthy way but you learn a process for catching funk early for the future.. it means you can regulate your life balance and not be caught with your pants down in the future.

What do you think? Does it resonate with you? Do you know anyone who you think might benefit from this?

Introduction to Coaching with Back on Track and Tailor-made solutions for a fuller, more rewarding and enjoyable life.

Back On Track™ is 12 hours of problem solving focus, tailor-made solutions for a fuller, more rewarding and enjoyable life.

Program Outline

Why 12 hours of Coaching – Can I do It in More or Less?

Yes, for sure. Do it in 14 days if you like. You can even take a year if needed. Life and work is changing so quickly if you’re off track, you’ll be twice as off track in a month. Procrastination just makes the old patterns of causation more rigid. You’ll want to get in, rock your boat, implement new thinking, kick out the stress, set new strategies, communicate your changes and get on with it before the next wave of frustrations arrives. We used to run this program over a 3 day retreat but now we want to be right with you on the implementation of change so, 3 days became 30 days, fully supported.

Is it a packaged program like E-Learning or is it interactive directly with me?

Over 14 hours of interacting in 30 days gives you the chance to solve specific problems, implement changes, get tailor made solutions and explore them in the real world.

What’s “Living Alive Naturally” got to do with my performance at work and private life?

Your true human nature, unencumbered with ego and fear and hurt and stress and worry and anxiety, becomes your most powerful self, this is living alive naturally, knowing what’s real, what’s false and what to believe, your ground zero for life. This is real, no bull, no mumbo jumbo, no hocus-pocus, no guru’s, version of you. Not wanting to be someone else, simply using your true nature and negotiating your outcomes at the level of causation.

If you keep doing what you are doing will you achieve the outcomes of life you want?

Your true nature is fingerprint unique. Your background, history, memories, ambitions, hopes, dreams, experience, education makes you a powerhouse of possibilities but only if you tap that uniqueness in a way that creates the results you want. In 30 days, you’ll align how you do what you do with what you want to achieve in life. This is the natural harmony that comes from being authentic.

How will you measure your life long term?

When you are off track typically you’re out of balance somewhere. That doesn’t feel good and automatically creates a nervous tension that isn’t resolved by the usual things. In the 30 Day Back on Track™ you ask “what do I want the outcomes of my life to be and how do I go about getting them?” You also explore with Chris causation like: “if I keep doing what I’m doing what will be the outcomes of my life and is this what I want?” There’s roughly 20 hours of reading, listening and watching in 30 days to help you wonder and explore possibilities (around 30 minutes a day). Plus four extended one on one face to face coaching sessions lasting up to 3 hours outside of work hours. Not bad for a total reboot.

What is this 30 Day Back on Track program going to cost me?

There are two ways you can pay….

  • First is performance based. We’ll agree with you on what this Back on Track™ program will make you or save you in 6 months and you can agree to a performance fee of 10% of net gain. (net gain is usually estimated to be $300K – $400K)
  • Second is fixed fee. This ranges between $2k and $17K depending on urgency, circumstances and means. (usually $2-5K)
In the 30 Day Challenge you learn that life and you and nature all evolve and the border of support and challenge. So, just because you get into a place of no pain, it doesn’t mean there is no pain, it’s just building up for a Tsunami. Instead of that The Power Hour (what you learn in 30 days) is an hour of Self Mastery in which you challenge yourself to evolve. Simple as that because at least then life doesn’t have to dish it up. Don’t argue with nature…. she’s a formidable opponent.

How can I book a “Free Introductory Consultation?”

Your Investment in “Back on Track™” Actually Changes your family, work and World too…

“When I was young and free and my imagination had no limits, I dreamed of changing the world: as I grew older and wiser I discovered the world would not change, so I shortened my sights  somewhat and decided to change my country, but it too seemed immovable. As I grew into my twilight years in one last desperate attempt I settled for changing only my family, those closest to me.
But alas they would have none of it!

And now I realise as I lie on my deathbed, if I had only changed myself first, then by example I might have changed my family. From then, by example, I might have changed my friends. From their aspirations and encouragement I would have then been able to better my country, and who knows, I might have even changed the world.

1. Self-Leadership Comes Before Other Leadership

We can’t give what we haven’t got. To lead others we need to understand and engage our own True Nature and then leading others is more powerful and simplified.

You already know that a fight with nature cannot be won. We’ve helped indigenous communities, fortune 500 companies, rock stars, movie stars, sports personalities, CEO’s, mums, dads, kids and community leaders create massive and rapid change by realigning their life philosophy to True Nature.

When expectations match realisations we are fulfilled, motivated, inspired, in love and happy. When expectations come from books and do not match reality we are disenfranchised. Taking the power as a leader means alignment. What do we align with?

2. An Asset – Understanding Nature’s Universal Laws

When you link individual expectations, corporate strategy, business culture to nature’s universal laws and in doing so, you set things on the right track. Sometimes people try to defy nature but this leads to stress, distress and unhealthy disruption.

“Chris puts people first. I improved everything including the way I achieve my results faster, happier and on time – I saw immediate improvement at home too.” Executive passed over for promotion. Chicago, USA.

3. Learn to flow

“Chris will not feel sorry for you nor will he tell you what you want to hear instead he forces you in different ways to confront issues and work through them so at the end of the process you have meaningfully contributed to understanding yourself, life and the people around you which is something you might not have been able to do by yourself as thoroughly. I still refer to Chris’s notes and the one’s I made after his sessions.

4. Authenticity

At some stage in our lives we want to go further / deeper whether it is to fully understand yourself, relationships, career. Chris is a facilitator of that journey and once you enter that road it can be intoxicating and extremely beneficial to your family, loved ones friends and workmates.

I recommend Chris’s courses / sessions for anyone who wants to really understand life. My life has been better and hardly a day goes by when I am not considering issues that have been put forward by Chris.

5. Future Seeing.

Mastery of Change – Learn the steps to help others, and the world, change by working on your own self-awareness.

“The sixty minutes a week saved my marriage, and goodness knows how much time in my career. It works. – Personally stressed. Senior Partner, Law Firm

6. Motivate Others

“This work is more than digging deep, it’s about taking control & driving the bus. It’s about clever use of time & resources to be absolutely present in each of the different pieces of the puzzle. This approach brings the relief and release that comes with knowing you can have a solid, effective crack at something without the fog of distraction, without competing alternatives for any given minute or hour.” Entrepreneur, Business Owner – stressed . Red Flags – Beware of Substitutes in your Life – They Hurt

The Four Substitutes.

There is a great academic paper written about wearing cheap imitation watches. In summary it suggests that the individual who does it is doing more harm to themselves than good. Fake is fake. And it permeates all aspects of life.

But there’s no academic paper necessary when it comes to substitutes in life: When we are in substitute mode, we know we’re off track, out of balance and not operating on all pistons.

  • When we reach for a substitute we create our fears.
  • When we reach for substitutes we enter self-sabotage
  • When we reach for substitutes we are demanifesting the future
  • When we reach for substitutes we are not doing what will cause what we want

Sometimes substitutes are necessary, but only in emergencies.

I had one or many emergencies in my life when substitutes were really important to me. Like when I was lost in the Himalayas with a sprained ankle, alone at 5200 meters above sea level. I was seriously in trouble and with no compass, zero visibility, no help and nobody even knew or cared where I was, I needed all the help I could get, so I prayed.

Substitutes are important to us. Like eating and drinking for example. When we feel lost or abandoned by luck, we can often fuel our emotions with the energy of food or the reassurance of a full stomach. We can use food to make us feel loved when we feel unloved by someone or alcohol to block out reality when it’s too much to handle.

And that’s why going on a diet to lose weight doesn’t sustain itself alone. We need to respect that if we’re overweight or underweight, we’ve been using food as a substitute and that’s the issue that we need to address, not just change the stuff that goes in our mouth, but why as well. I remember many times in my life being overweight in spite of massive commitment to sport and exercise. It takes allot of carbs to cause that and it was always in times when I felt extremely vulnerable. Diets didn’t help, what helped was processing whatever it was that was causing the vulnerability. Truly, there is no vulnerability, it’s a construct of our mind, but a good one when we need a substitute.

Sex can be a substitute too. When my paddle broke and I became smashed against the rocks, splitting my spine and struggling for breath, my whole life flashed before my eyes. For a month or two afterward, as the surgeon searched for a way to cut into my spine to help me walk again, sex became my new sport. I ached for it at a time when I couldn’t do much about it. Ironic in a way, but sex, lots of it, is a human escape, a substitute, another way of NOT dealing with reality.

We can become extremely creative when it comes to avoiding dealing with shit in our life. The trouble is, when we use substitutes for medicine and avoid the real issues, we end up getting physically, emotionally and mentally ill. Nature is a persistent teacher. A total bitch when it comes to human development.

Another time in “band camp” I became work obsessed. This is another form of substitute called greed. Greed takes many shapes, but the best of them is “unsatisfied” and it’s mate, “self-critical” they both belong to the greed family of “never enough” and “never good enough.” We often call these greed driven friends obsession, or demanding or high expectations but they are not. They are just greed and greed is a substitute.

A Substitute Will Make Us Feel Better But It Eventually Turns to a Poison

No matter whether it’s food, alcohol, sex, spirituality or greed, substitutes are substitutes, they are not solutions, healing, love, success, productive, mending or healthy process. They are substitutes and “substitutes are poison.”

Here are just a few of the consequences of using substitutes to fix challenges:

  1. Depression
  2. Obesity
  3. Failure
  4. Divorce
  5. Violence
  6. Addiction
  7. Stress
  8. Panic Attacks
  9. Anxiety

So, you might glean from this list that substitutes play a major role in life for the majority of people who’s primary aim is to feel good, do good and be good. It’s the call to action of the “masses” who live “quiet lives of desperation.” Of course, quiet does not refer to the volumn of their hi-fi nor the drunken abuse of their family. Quiet, in this instance means, ineffective and un-influential.

If substitutes are substitutes for something, and the majority of people gravitate to substitutes to solve their discomforts then we will be doing ourselves a favour to know what “not substitute” is.

Let’s further explore a few substitutes that are called not substitutes by those who are using the substitutes as not substitutes.

  1. Organic food
  2. Save the planet
  3. Sugar
  4. Smoothies
  5. Corporate Culture’s
  6. Fundamentalism

We are led to a place in this inquest to find what a substitute is not. One can easily say “Truth,” but this in itself is a copout, a form of deflection for who would be the diviner of truth? It would be equally easy to say “God” but again, it’s really no solid answer.

I’m tempted to say “Love” but this word is so misinterpreted and one can love all the substitutes of food, alcohol, greed, sex and spirituality (god), too easily, so this is an unwise solution.

I’m led, through the vague language of Self-Awareness to the following book cover I created for a book (actually the back cover) I wrote back in the 90’s while living in New York. I spend half my time writing poetry and this starts to explain what a not substitute is.

We know what we want. When we are doing what will get us what we want we are in causation. When we are not, we are in self destruction, self sabotage , What we want is our calling, the natural result of our actions (unbiased by substitutes) and talent (undiminished by substitutes) to create something (un-compromised by substitutes).

If we know what substitutes are, we know what discipline it will take for us to fulfill our whole and uncorrupted potential. In this, i mean, “be happy.” I didn’t find a single human on earth who became happy by substitution. I didn’t find one person who said “my entire purpose in life was to procreate, eat, drink as much as I could, have copious amounts of sex, pray or feed my greed.” Substitutes are no satisfaction ambitions.

The satisfaction one gets from walking their path, honestly, hurting when they need to learn and learning when they need to hurt, is truly living alive. Keeping substitutes in check, minimising their impact is a very good start to living on purpose, deliberately doing what nature intended for you. It feels really good, much better than excess of substitutes which just makes us hungry for more.
